RAIN POLICY

All drivers that are signed in by 7pm will receive 10 show up points if the event is rained out. Once the heats are over it will be considered a complete show. If the heats are not finished we will try to re-schedule the show for another date. All drivers who are signed in will pay $6 to get into the next event if there is a rain out prior to the features.

Board Members reserve the right to call any event if they consider it unsafe for drivers or spectators.

RACE PROCEDURES

All karts and drivers are required to go through a pre-tech before hot laps. Any safety items must be corrected and re-teched before the kart or driver will be allowed on the track.

In the event of a mechanical failure, the gate will remain open for 90 seconds. If you are unable to get out on the track in that 90 seconds the gate will close and you will receive a Did Not Start (DNS).

Karts finishing in the top 5 must weigh in at the scale after the heats and feature races. If you fail to weigh or do not meet the weight requirement for your class you will be disqualified for that race.

POINTS PROCEEDURE

The best 8 of the first 9 shows will be used to determine your point’s position going into Championship night. The racetrack will throw out your worst show of your first 9 shows. If you miss a show you will receive 0 points for that show and it will not count towards your point average.

Starting positions for opening night will be determined by drawing. All other race nights will be lined up by point averages. CHAMPIONSHIP NIGHT WILL BE LINED UP HEADS UP BY POINTS POSITION ON THE POINTS SHEET. If you tie someone for a point’s position or average, the driver who had that position will be ahead of the driver that tied him/her on the point’s sheet. If you miss a show, the next race you will start according to your point average. You will be allowed only one sub night in 2006.

RACES

Line up will be side by side. If a kart drops out before one lap is complete the remaining karts will move straight ahead in their respective lines. There will be no working on the kart on the track. If any kart is unable to continue because of mechanical failure you will be asked to pull to the infield as directed by the track workers.

If you are involved in an accident it will be up to the corner worker to determine if the kart will be able to continue safely. You cannot put your chain back on if it comes off. If you flip over you will be done for that race. If you cause an accident or spin and the yellow flag is displayed, you will be put to the rear of the field. If a kart causes two(2) yellows in one race that kart will be removed from that race. If track workers are not sure why an accident happened, there will be a restart according to the last completed lap with no one going to the rear of the field.

Once a kart leaves the race, you will not be allowed to return. All karts will complete one lap accident free or a complete re-start will occur. A completed lap constitutes the race leader crossing the start/finish line under green flag conditions.

If a new driver comes to race with us he or she will start at the back of the heat.  If said driver finished (1) first in the heat driver will start on the outside pole.  If said driver finishes (2) second in the heat driver will start on the outside second row.  And so on down the line.

After 4 yellow flags have been thrown in one race, all laps green/yellow will be counted. Karts will be stopped a majority of the time on yellows to realign the field. Any race resulting in a yellow flag will go back to the last completed lap. A race is complete once the first kart on the lead lap of the race has crossed the start/finish line on the white flag lap. Any kart causing a yellow on the white flag lap will be scored last.

If the red flag is displayed you must stop your kart in a safe manner and abide by the track workers orders.

NO ONE is allowed on the track until all karts are stopped and the track official permits entry. This is for your own safety.

YOU WILL NOT BE ALLOWED TO WORK ON YOUR KART AT ANYTIME ON THE RACE TRACK.

You will be allowed one re-start per night in the event of the motor dieing or being involved in an accident. After you re-start you will go to the rear of the field.

Disqualification due to a post race tech issue or zero tolerance infraction will result in last place points and also docked an additional 10 points. Disqualifications for the above will not be allowed to be used as your throw out night. If you are made to leave because of a zero tolerance infraction you will not be allowed to use a sub while suspension is being served.

If you dispute a decision concerning tech do not remove your kart from the tech area, get a board member involved. If agreement is not acceptable the item in question will be sent into an IKF tech member for final decision.
